Sandy Roob '83 Honored by Associated Press

April 6, 2009, Greencastle, Ind. — Sandy (Matthys) Roob, a 1983 graduate of DePauw University, is among the winners of Indiana Associated Press Broadcasters Awards for work which aired in 2008. Roob received the "Best News Series - Metro Radio" honor, which she shares with colleagues at Indianapolis National Public Radio affiliate WFYI. The awards ceremony took place Saturday in Indianapolis.

Roob previously spent seven years as a news reporter for South Bend, Indiana NBC affiliate WNDU-TV and worked as a media relations specialist at Indiana University - Purdue University at Indianapolis (IUPUI).

As noted yesterday, DePauw student broadcasters received three AP awards for work which aired on WGRE last year.
