Ohio Governor Appoints Frances Ott Allen '57 to Library Association Board

East College 2008 5.jpgApril 9, 2009, Greencastle, Ind. — Ohio Governor Ted Strickland has appointed Frances Ott Allen, a 1957 graduate of DePauw University, to serve on the board of trustees of the Martha Kinney Cooper Ohioana Library Association. Allen has served as an associate librarian for the University of Cincinnati Libraries since 1994. The Association collects and publicizes the cultural, literary, scientific, social and economic achievements of Ohioans.

Frances Allen previously served the University of Cincinnati Libraries as an assistant librarian from 1987-94. She had also served as a library associate for the Illinois State Historical Library from 1983-87. In addition to her bachelor's degree from DePauw, she earned a master's degree from the University of Kentucky in 1959 and a master's degree in library and information science from the University of Illinois in 1983.
