W. Winston Briggs '84 Named an 'Attorney of Distinction'

November 27, 2009, Greencastle, Ind. — W. Winston Briggs, a 1984 graduate of DePauw University, "is featured in the November issue of an Atlanta, Ga., magazine," reports Indiana's Carroll County Comet. "He is one of 16 attorneys, representing 13 law firms, in a special series section entitled 'Attorneys of Distinction.' The publication is Jezebel, a prominent lifestyle magazine for professionals."

The magazine notes that "Briggs is a veteran of more than 120 jury trials and is widely considered one of the best trial lawyers in the state (Georgia)," according to the Comet. 

After graduating from DePauw (where he majored in economics) and the Wake Forest School of Law, Briggs practiced 20 years with the Atlanta litigation firm of Decker, Hallman, Barber & Briggs. In July of this year he opened his own firm in Atlanta.
