Tim Solso '69 Re-Elected to Ashland Inc. Board

"Tim" Solso, chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Cummins Inc. and 1969 graduate of DePauw University, has been re-elected to the board of directors of Ashland Inc. (NYSE: ASH). Based in Covington, Kentucky, Ashland is a global specialty chemicals company.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reports, "Solso also serves as chairman of Ashland's personnel and compensation committee and is a member of the firm's finance, governance and nominating committees." His term on the board runs through 2013.

Tim Solso has been honored with the Anti-Defamation League's "Man of Achievement Award," as well as the 2007 International Executive of the Year award from the Academy of International Business (AIB), the 2007 Six Sigma CEO of the Year Award, and the American Business Award for "Best Chairman."
