In the third, Brianne Weeks led off with a bunt single and stole second. She scored when Holly Paris reached on an error. The Tigers added two more in the seventh as Cymone Allen led off with a single and moved to second on Rachel MacBeth's sacrifice bunt. Allen scored when Weeks reached on an error before Jen Kosinski singled home Weeks.

In the Transylvania win, MacBeth led off the first with a double and scored on Kosinski's single. Amy Hallett led off the second with a single and advanced to second on an error. Ashlee Anton's sacrifice bunt moved both runners up one base and Allen plated Hallett with a single. Allen later scored from third as part of a double steal. The Tigers added an unearned run in the seventh.

MacBeth and Kosinski each had two of DePauw's six hits, while Megan Mitchell collected the only hit off of Soultz. With the one-hitter, Soultz moved her career mark to 86-18 with 40 shutouts. Kendra DeArk suffered the loss for the Pioneers.
