BOX SCORES: Game 1 | Game 2

March 7, 2010, Maryville, Tenn. —  DePauw split its two games today with a 6-2 win over Maryville (Tenn.) and a 2-0 loss to Transylvania. The Tigers are now 3-1 on the season.

Maryville took a 2-0 lead in the third as Haley Johnson drove in Ashlan Cosner with a double and then scored on Lindsy Little's single. The Tigers cut the lead in half when Rachel MacBeth singled and scored when Brianne Weeks reached on an error.

Amy Hallett and Cymone Allen each reached on singles in the fifth before MacBeth advanced each with a sacrifice bunt. Weeks singled home Hallett which tied the game at 2-2. After Weeks stole second, Emma Minx reached on an error scoring Allen. Minx stole second before Jen Kosinski singled in Weeks and Minx. Holly Paris plated Koskinski with a double.

Kosinski and Allen each had two of DePauw's eight hits, while Johnson and Little had two each of the Scots' six. Megan Soultz improved to 3-0  with five strikeouts and no walks. Jessica McCarter dropped to 0-3 with the loss.

In the second game, Transylvania scored one each in the third and sixth innings. Michelle Ladanyi singles in Anne Broadhead in the third, while Danielle Smith's pinch-hit, bunt single in the sixth brought home pinch-runner Haleigh LeCompte.

MacBeth and Ashlee Anton each had two of DePauw's five hits, while Broadhead and Megan Mitchell had two apiece of the Pioneers' eight hits. Soultz dropped to 3-1, while Kendra DeArk picked up the win.

DePauw travels to Centre College, March 13-14, where it will face Hiram and John Carroll.
