Three Tigers are All-Americans in Tennis

mackie_greer_200809wtennis.jpgJune 22, 2010, Greencastle, Ind. — Three members of the DePauw University women's tennis team -- Janelle Arita, Greer Mackie and Kayla Smith -- have been named to the 2010 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-America Team. "Arita, a 2007 Punahou graduate from Mililani, was ranked 11th and is a three-time All-American for DePauw," notes an item in the Honolulu Advertiser. (pictured at left: Greer Mackie)

Last month, all three competed at the NCAA Division III Singles and Doubles Championships at Mary Washington College. Arita, a singles player who just completed her junior year,  finished with a 17-7 singles mark for the season and is 66-26 in her career. Mackie and Smith, doubles partners who are 2010 graduates, finished the season with a 23-7 record and were 45-16 together in their careers.
