DePauw Finishes Regular Season with Win over Southwestern

November 7, 2010, Greencastle, Ind. —  In the regular season finale, DePauw scored once in each half and earned a 2-1 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference win over visiting Southwestern.

The Tigers improved to 14-2-2 overall and finished SCAC play at 8-1-2. DePauw now awaits word on a possible NCAA Championship at-large berth. That announcement will come tomorrow at 2 p.m. EST and is available here. The Pirates dropped to 12-7 overall and 9-2 in the conference.

Gary Pett put the Tigers ahead at 21:54 on Andrew Desmarais' assist and Kreigh Kamman made it 2-0 at 72:44 on Ben Hazen's assist. Southwestern's lone goal came with just over one minute remaining as John Mark Mines scored.

Southwestern held a 12-11 advantage in shots, while DePauw led in corners, 5-3. DePauw's Nate Sprenkel totaled three saves and Southwestern's Nick Pierce had two.
