Tigers and Wabash, Both Undefeated, Face Off at Lilly Center Tonight
December 1, 2010
December 1, 2010, Greencastle, Ind. — "Now that Wabash College's basketball team has climbed into the Top 15 in the nation, head coach Mac Petty expects even more out of them," begins a story in today's Paper of Montgomery County. "Petty thinks No. 13 Wabash (6-0) now has to live up to that high of a ranking -- especially at in-state rival and No. 31 DePauw (4-0) tonight."
The two teams face off at 7:30 p.m. in DePauw's Neal Fieldhouse, located within the Lilly Center. For those who cannot attend the contest, video of the game will be streamed live via Teamline and the action can also be heard on student radio station WGRE (91.5 FM or via this link).
The Paper's sports editor, 2004 DePauw graduate John Groth, writes, "Wabash has won all six of its games by double-digits and at least 15 points and has an average margin of victory of 19.3 points per game ... The Tigers have a tough inside triple threat, with 6-3, 190-pound junior forward Sean Haseley (17.8 points per game), 6-6, 235-pound senior forward Ryan Sever (11.3 ppg) and 6-7, 230-pound senior center Joe Bergfeld (17.0 ppg). They combine for 46.1 of DePauw's 72.5 points per game."
