Tigers Drop 3-0 Decision to #24 Chicago

September 22, 2011, Greencastle, Ind. — Visiting Chicago scored twice in a four-minute stretch of the second half to expand upon a 1-0 lead on the way to a 3-0 win over DePauw on a rain-soaked Boswell Field. The 24th-ranked Maroons improved to 5-2, while the Tigers dropped to 3-4.

Allison Hegel put Chicago on the board at 9:28 with an assist from Natalia Jovanovic and then Hegel made it 2-0 at 51:22 on Sara Kwan's assist. Jovanovic pushed the lead to 3-0 at 54:37 on Kwan's second assist.

Chicago outshot DePauw, 16-4 and the Tigers held a 5-3 advantage in corners. Emma Gormley recorded the shutout for the Maroons, while Caroline Kerr had five saves for DePauw.

DePauw returns to action on Saturday, September 24, when it hosts Hiram in a North Coast Athletic Conference contest at Noon.
