DePauw Runs Win Streak to 11 with Shutout Win over Trine

101312October 9, 2011, Greencastle, Ind. — Host DePauw extended its win streak to 11 and improved to 11-1 following a 9-0 win over Trine. The Thunder dropped to 0-9 with the loss.

Eight different Tigers scored in the win as Kimberly Trainor started the scoring on an assist from Margaret Ellis at 10:53. Courtney Wood scored, unassisted, at 19:24 and Ellis' score two minutes later expanded the lead to 3-0. Maggie Campbell scored on Chelsea Cutler's assist before Taylor Helms rounded out the first-half scoring at 29:05 on a penalty stroke.

Kylie Maloney made it 6-0 on Alyssa Collin's score at 43:12 before Collin scored on Maher's assist at 46:57. Kate Jovanovic (pictured) knocked in the Tigers' final two goals with the first coming on Trainor's assist.

DePauw held a 60-0 advantage in shots and a 36-0 margin in corners. Maggie Steele and Kati DeJoie split time in goal for DePauw's third straight shutout and seventh overall this year. Tristen Huntley totaled 35 saves for the Thunder.

The Tigers return home on Saturday, October 15, for a 1 p.m. North Coast Athletic Conference game against Wooster.
