DePauw Splits Two NCAC Volleyball Matches

October 15, 2011, Wooster, Ohio — DePauw split its two North Coast Athletic Conference matches today as the Tigers lost to Hiram 3-2 (25-20, 18-25, 16-25, 25-21, 10-15) and blanked Ohio Wesleyan 3-0 (25-15, 25-16, 25-19). DePauw is now 16-8 overall and 7-3 in the NCAC.

In the loss to Hiram, Katie Petrovich, Annie Collier and Abby Balbach each had 14 kills, while Brianna Holder had 45 assists. Blabach also paced the Tigers with four service aces with Tori Bowerman totaling 22 digs and Paige Thompson four blocks.

Against Ohio Wesleyan, Balbach led the way with nine kills, while Holder had 31 assists. Balbach, Kylee Lehrman and Holder each had two aces. Bowerman led with 17 digs and Collier totaled four blocks.

DePauw faces Denison and Wittenberg tomorrow with both matches taking place at Wooster.
