Late Goal Lifts DePauw to 13th Straight Win

October 16, 2011, Greencastle, Ind. — DePauw's Margaret Ellis scored the game's only goal with 2:56 remaining and lifted the host Tigers to a 1-0 North Coast Athletic Conference victory over Kenyon.

The Tigers improved to 13-1 overall with their 13th straight win and stayed on top of the NCAC standings at 10-0. Kenyon dropped to 6-9 overall and 6-5 in conference play.

Ellis' goal came on an assist from Bridgette Shamleffer in a game which saw DePauw hold a 35-1 advantage in shots. The Tigers also led in corners, 12-4.

DePauw's Maggie Steele recorded a save on that shot, while Kenyon's Alex Britt totaled 27 in the loss.

The Tigers host Earlham on Thursday, October 16, at 4 p.m.
