Two Seniors Named All-Americans in Men's Soccer

Sam Meyer '12 in ActionDecember 15, 2011, Greencastle, Ind. — DePauw University seniors Sam Meyer and Nathan Sprenkel have been named to the 2011 NSCAA/Continental Tires NCAA Men's Division III All-America Soccer Team. Both are second team selections. Meyer and Sprenkel and the other 36 student-athletes honored will be recognized at the annual All-America Luncheon, to be held in the Kansas City Convention Center's Grand Ballroom on Saturday, January 14, in conjunction with the 2012 National Soccer Coaches Association of America Convention in Kansas City, Missouri. DePauw had a 16-3-1 overall record this year and won the North Coast Athletic Conference tournament championship. The squad set a school record for wins and made the program's ninth NCAA postseason appearance. The Tigers finished the regular season ranked 12th by D3soccer.com and 17th in the NSCAA Division III poll.
