Sophomore Crowned at St. Louis' Veiled Prophet Ball

"Eleanor Clark Brennan of Ladue was crowned Queen of Love and Beauty on Thursday night at the 127th annual Veiled Prophet Ball," reports the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. A sophomore at DePauw University, Brennan "was among 65 young women who made their debut into society at the ball at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at the Arch. More than 2,000 attended."

The article notes that Brennan is a student at DePauw, where she is a member of the field hockey team.

It adds, "The Veiled Prophet tradition in St. Louis dates to 1878. The ball is held each December. The Veiled Prophet Organization also is behind the annual VP Parade, Fair St. Louis and the Celebrate St. Louis Summer Concert series."
