Greencastle, Ind. - Paige Gooch, a rising junior, has been selected to the National Golf Coaches Association Division III All-American Scholar Team for the 2011-12 season. She also earned the distinction for the 2010-11 academic year.

A double major in economics and mathematics and a Management Fellow at DePauw, Gooch was one of 585 women's collegiate golfers overall and 87 on the Division III level recognized for having a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or greater.

Gooch averaged 79.60 strokes per round with eight top 10 finishes this season and was one of four DePauw golfers to earn all-America honors after doing the same her freshman year.

She posted the team's only even-par round this year with a 72 at the O'Brien National Invitational and won the second NCAC Championship event of the year with a two-round 156. Gooch also finished tied for 17th at the NCAA Championships.

DePauw's second-place finish was its third at the Division III Championships. The Tigers finished just six shots behind 13-time defending Division III champion Methodist. DePauw has appeared in 11 straight national tournaments and finished in the top five nine times.
