DePauw Extends Win Streak to Six; Stays Perfect in NCAC Play

Greencastle, Ind. - Margaret Ellis (far left) and Bridgette Shamleffer (near left) each scored hat tricks and led DePauw to a 9-0 North Coast Athletic Conference win over visiting Earlham.

The Tigers improved to 6-1 overall and 4-0 in the conference with their sixth straight win, while the Quakers slipped to 0-6 overall and 0-5 in conference play.

Ellis scored all three of her goals in the opening half and Shamleffer added one to give the Tigers a 4-0 halftime lead. DePauw then scored four times in the opening 12 minutes of the second half.

Paige Henry scored twice in the game, while Chelsea Cutler delivered the game's final score and assisted on the first. Kate Jovanovic added an assist in the win.

DePauw held a 23-0 edge in shots with 18 of those on goal. The Tigers also led in corners, 14-0.

Maggie Steele recorded the shutout for DePauw with Helen Titcomb totaling nine saves.

The Tigers travel to Granville, Ohio, on Saturday for a Noon showdown with the Big Red. The teams shared the 2011 NCAC regular season title.
