Tigers Drop 4-1 Decision to Division I Jaguars

Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw held a 7-5 advantage in shots on goal over Division I IUPUI, but the visiting Jaguars reached the back of the net on four of those tries on the way to a 4-1 win over the Tigers at Boswell Field.

The Jaguars needed just 3:40 to take the lead for good as Ashley Doreski scored on Grace Perkowitz's assist.

Early in the second half, IUPUI scored three times in a span of 4:11. Perkowitz made it 2-0 on Kalli Shepler-Tucker's assist at 50:29 before Mackenzie Calvert scored 2:18 later with help from Taylor Heidorn. Ann Rode's unassisted goal at 54:50 pushed the lead to 4-0.

The Tigers' lone goal came at 81:25 as Dana Sprague scored on Emily White's assist.

Overall, IUPUI held a 14-11 advantage in shots and a narrow 4-3 margin in corners.

Emma Cooper recorded on save in relief of starting goalkeeper Caroline Kerr. Giselle Guzman had two first-half saves for IUPUI and Kristin Haseley had four stops in the second half.

The Tigers return to action on Saturday when they travel to Hiram for a 1 p.m. North Coast Athletic Conference contest.
