Wittwer Named NCAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week

Julie WitwerGreencastle, Ind. - DePauw sophomore Julie Wittwer (Grosse Pointe, Mich/South) has been named the North Coast Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week for her performances in three Tigers wins last week.

Wittwer posted a 3-0 record in both fifth singles and with Kaitlin Pickrel at third doubles. She helped 10th-ranked DePauw to a convincing 8-1 victor over Olivet Nazarene on Monday before a pair of 5-4 wins over Washington-St. Louis and Case Western Reserve on Saturday.

DePauw returns to action on Friday, March 1, when it faces Johns Hopkins at 3:30 p.m. in the opening round of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division III National Indoor Championship at the DePauw Indoor Tennis and Track Center. Complete information on the tournament is available here.
