DePauw Men’s Laxers Fall to Beloit

Beloit, Wis. – The DePauw men’s lacrosse team fell to Beloit, 16-1, on a cold and windy Saturday afternoon in Beloit, Wis.

DePauw falls to 0-4 on the season while Beloit picks up their first win of the 2013 campaign, moving to 1-5.

Jack Glerum scored the lone Tigers goal in the game, collecting a Greg Lambert pass in the eighth minute of the final stanza and beating Beloit goalie Trevor Kenahan.

Tigers goalie JR Strubbe parried nine shots, while tending the net throughout all sixty minutes. Kenahan picked up the win for Beloit, playing the first 52:45 before Jacob Mayer subbed in for the remaining 7:15.

Beloit outshot the Tigers 37-27, while DePauw scooped up six more ground balls (25-19).

DePauw’s turned the ball over a season-low 16 times against, Beloit, bettering the previous best performance by eight.

The DePauw men’s lacrosse team returns to action on Wednesday, March 20 at 7pm as they travel to Albion, Mich., to take on Albion in their final non-conference tune-up before North Coast Athletic Conference play begins next Saturday against Hiram College.
