Tigers Fall To Big Red

Granville, Ohio – The DePauw men’s lacrosse team fell to Denison, 23-1, in North Coast Athletic Conference play on March 30 at Deeds Field-Piper Stadium in Granville, Ohio.

In defeat the Tigers moved to 0-8 on the season and 0-2 in conference play while Denison is 7-1 and 2-0 in the NCAC.

DePauw’s Pierce Ellinwood scored the Tigers lone goal off of a pass from Michael Strader.

Fifteen separate Denison laxer’s tallied a goal in the game, led by a trio of goals from Will Koontz, Connor Carroll and Justin DeMarchi.

The Big Red outshot the Tigers 57-7 and out scooped DePauw 44-15 in groundballs.

DePauw’s JR Strubbe tallied the loss after saving seven shots. Denison’s Chris Thomas picked up the victory for the Big Red, playing just 10 minutes before giving way to backups Clark Bullington and Henry Donaldson to finish the game.

The Tigers return to Boswell Field on Saturday, April 6, against Wooster for an NCAC clash. The game is set to begin at 1 p.m. (ET).
