Dozier’s Discus Dash Draws Distinction

April 23, 2013

Greencastle, Ind. – DePauw freshman discus hurler Marcus Dozier copped North Coast Athletic Conference men’s field athlete of the week after his performance at the Rose-Hulman Twilight event last weekend as released by the conference office on Monday, April 22.

Dozier’s toss of 151-04 netted a fifth-place showing in the event among some of the nation’s best. However, his performance is the top mark posted in this event by any NCAC student-athlete this season.

Also a member of the Tigers football squad, Dozier saw action in four games in his first season in Greencastle. He recorded four tackles, two of which were for loss, at his position along the defensive line.

Dozier and the track and field squad return to action on Saturday, April 27, at the Bellarmine Invitational in Louisville, Ky. This penultimate event to the NCAC Championships is set to get underway at 11 a.m. (ET).
