DePauw Students Meet with Cleveland Mayor Carl Stokes as Part of Winter Term Project

January 18, 1971, Greencastle, Ind. - A group of DePauw University students interviewed Cleveland Mayor Carl B. Stokes today in that city as part of a Winter Term experience, "Air and Water Pollution: An Interdisciplinary Approach."  The undergraduates are spending five days in Cleveland interviewing civil and business leaders about the city's pollution issues.

The month-long Winter Term is in its inaugural year at DePauw. It will take place each January between fall and spring semesters and reflects DePauw's serious commitment to non-traditional, experiential learning. Winter Term is a time of adventurous, intellectual exploration in an atmosphere with a reduced emphasis on grades.
