Late Goal Boosts #25 Tigers to 2-1 Win over Centre

Greencastle, Ind. - A pair of freshmen contributed to 25th-ranked DePauw's game-winning goal that lifted the Tigers to a 2-1 victory over Centre on Boswell Field.

Playing in their first collegiate game, E.J. Moore fed Julian Gonzalez who hammered home his first goal from the right side with just 3:10 remaining. The Tigers held on for the season-opening victory.

Adrian Ables provided the hosts a 1-0 lead at 71:01 on a double assist from Brandon Johnson and George Elliott, while the Colonels came right back at 74:36 as Cameron Miller scored on Robbe Tarver's corner.

DePauw outshot Centre, 6-4, including a 4-3 edge in shots on goal. Centre held a 7-0 lead in corners.

Jacob Pezzuto totaled two saves for DePauw with Ohan Missirian-Dill finishing with two for Centre.

DePauw travels to Knox College on Saturday for a 3 p.m. CDT contest.
