Tigers Climb to #9 in Recent Poll

Greencastle, Ind. – After a wild weekend at Boswell Field DePauw’sundefeated men’ssoccer teamhas jumped up 11 spots to #9 according to the National SoccerCoaches Association of America.

The Tigers opened up NCAC play, picking up a 2-1 overtime win against conference foe Hiram.  Adrian Ables scored DePauw’s first goal and Alieu Musa’s golden goal in overtime sealed the Tiger’s victory.

DePauw completed their weekend sweep with a 4-2 win over Olivet.  A pair of Julian Gonzalez goals paced the Tigers, while Andy Morrison and Ables added insurance goals in the victory.

The undefeated Tigers are off to their best start in school history outscoring opponents 24-4 during their run.

The Tigers are back in action on Wednesday, September 25, when they travel to Anderson at 5 p.m.  DePauw returns to Boswell Field for an NCAC battle against Kenyon on Saturday, September 28, starting at 2:30 p.m.
