Denison Blanks DePauw; Snaps Tigers' Streaks

Granville, Ohio - Host Denison scored a pair of second-half goals and handed DePauw its first North Coast Athletic Conference loss of the season in a 2-0 contest.
The Tigers dropped to 10-4 overall and 8-1 in NCAC play and their nine-game win streak came to an end as did their 22-game string in NCAC contests. The Big Red improved to 12-1 overall and 10-1 in the conference.
Molly Chapman scored at 41:37 on Taylor Bacon's assist, while Mia Daly added an insurance score with less than eight minutes left on Alex B. Berman's pass.
DePauw did outshoot Denison, 10-6 and each team had two shots on goal. The Tigers held a 7-5 edge in corners.
Maggie Steele was in goal for the Tigers, while Laura Campbell totaled two saves for the Big Red.
DePauw returns to action on Saturday, October 19, when it hosts the College of Wooster at 1 p.m. on Nick Mourouzis Field at Blackstock Stadium.Back
