Gretchen Haehl, 2008 graduate of DePauw University and a member of the 2007 national championship Tiger women's basketball team, helped coach the Shelby County Rebels to a victory in the sectionals of the Indiana Special Olympics basketball tournament over the weekend.

"The Rebels cruised to a 50-28 victory over the Marion County South Tornadoes to earn a spot in the Special Olympics Men's Basketball State Tournament on March 28-29 at Indiana State University in Terre Haute," reports the Shelbyville News.

An assistant coach for the team, Haehl tells the newspaper,  "This is my fifth season coaching and this is my first time going to (the state tournament) ... I'm excited. And I know these guys look forward to this every year."

She adds, ""We have been playing really well as a team the last three years. The motto of our group is to play as a team. We're always looking for the next pass. We want to be able to share the ball.
