Allison Taylor '03 Named Indiana Medicaid Director

Allison Matters Taylor, a 2003 graduate of DePauw University, was today appointed to serve as Indiana's Medicaid Director. She has been the interim director since May of this year.
"Allison’s deep expertise in Indiana health policy and law, as well as her commitment to collaborative relationships and patient -centered program design make her the ideal person to lead Indiana’s Medicaid programs," said he Indiana Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) Secretary Jennifer Walthall.
Taylor joined FSSA as general counsel in 2015 and previously practiced law for the Indianapolis Hall, Render, Killian, Heath & Lyman.
After graduating from DePauw, she continued her studies at the Indiana University’s Robert H. McKinney School of Law. Taylor is a graduate of the Richard G. Lugar Excellence in Public Service series and serves on the board of the Indianapolis Bar Association’s health and life sciences committee. She recently was selected to participate in the prestigious Medicaid Leadership Institute, a national initiative directed by the Center for Health Care Strategies.
