Information on Doors, Venue for Thursday's Ubben Lecture by Gov. John Kasich

Doors for the Thursday, January 31, Ubben Lecture at DePauw University by John Kasich will open to DePauw students with valid ID at 6:15 p.m. The general public can begin entering Kresge Auditorium, located within the Green Center for the Performing Arts (605 S. College Avenue) at 6:45 p.m. The speech, "Navigating These Partisan Times and Finding Your Personal Political Voice," will begin at 7:30 p.m. [UPDATED 1/29: This event was scheduled for 1/30 but was moved to the following day due to the University's closure because of bitter cold conditions.]
Like all Ubben Lectures, the event is presented free of admission charge and is open to all. Seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis, and no tickets will be distributed.
For this event, spectators may form lines inside the Green Center prior to the doors' opening. The following items are prohibited inside the venue:
- food and beverages;
- water bottles and cups/containers;
- bags, purses or backpacks;
- cameras, video equipment and audio equipment by non-media personnel (cell phones are allowed but no photos or video with your device);
- noise makers and signage;
The DePauw visit by the 69th Governor of Ohio and two-time candidate for President of the United States comes just 17 days after Kasich's second term as governor ended and as speculation continues over whether he will make another presidential run in 2020.
