’95 alum named national Entrepreneur of the Year

Trustee Justin Christian '95

Justin Christian ’95 has been named a national Entrepreneur Of The Year® by Ernst & Young LLP.

Christian is the chief executive officer of BCforward, a global IT services and workforce fulfillment corporation. He founded the Indianapolis firm in 1998.

The Ernst & Young website said the recognition celebrates “the unstoppable entrepreneurs whose unbounded ambitions deliver innovation, growth and prosperity that transform our world.” Christian shared the recognition with eight other entrepreneurs, while the national overall award went to the leadership team at Toast Inc., a cloud-based technology platform that helps restaurateurs operate more efficiently.

The winners were selected by a panel of judges from 207 regional award recipients and announced at a virtual ceremony Nov. 19.

Christian is a member of DePauw’s Board of Trustees and was chair of the 18-member search committee whose work culminated in the appointment of Lori S. White as DePauw’s president last July 1. He also is a member of the boards of the Lumina Foundation, Central Indiana Corporate Partnership and AAA Hoosier Motor Club.
