Covid-19 Sick Call Policy

To help mitigate the spread of the Coronavirus the following temporary Sick Call Policy is in effect for all University Employees.

Sick Employee

  • If an employee does not feel well or has ANY symptoms of COVID-19, they should stay home from work and put on a mask if they are around anyone else.  

  • Employees should notify their supervisor per normal procedures that they will be out sick.  

  • Contact HR.  Bruce Burking at 765-658- 4180 or bburking@depauw.edu or Angie Nally at 765-658-6395 or adnally@depauw.edu

  • This contact should be made regardless of the employee’s insurance status.  

  • HR may direct the symptomatic employee to contact the DePauw Health Wellness Center (DHWC) for a consultation to determine next steps. 

  • Hourly Employees will not use sick time.  If an employee is instructed by medical advice to quarantine or isolate, HR will approve the use of time code COVID-19 for these situations.

  • Do not return to work until HR has sent a Return to Work notice.

Employee being tested or awaiting results of Covid-19 Testing

  • DO NOT COME TO CAMPUS.  

  • Employees should notify their supervisor per normal procedures that they will be out sick.
