Prof. Pedar W. Foss Receives Positive Review of Publication
The latest book by Pedar W. Foss, professor of classical studies and chair of the department, was positively reviewed by Italian newspaper La Provincia di Como. The article states that the book, “Pliny and the Eruption of Vesuvius,” “...is a masterful interpretation, or rather fine-tuning, of the joint events of the two Plinys, which also includes a new translation and exegesis of the two fundamental letters of the Younger to Tacitus, where he narrates the events of the death of his famous uncle, and of the eruption of Vesuvius.”
The English translation of the review may be read here.
