BIRT reports are sent to the BIRT Team and DePauw Police immediately upon submission to assess the need for immediate intervention. Any report that is deemed an immediate threat to campus or a member of the campus community will follow the University's emergency communication protocol.
All information listed in the BIRT Log is as it was reported. Please reference the "BIRT Team Process" for more details regarding what happens after a submission. DePauw Police does not have the capacity to assign charges, determination of charges is done by the Putnam County Prosecutors Office.
