Student Funding Request

About: This fund is designed to offer students an opportunity to travel to off campus conferences that will enhance their learning experiences and further their academic goals.

Application Process:
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and will be approved once per month.
All applications must contain a detailed budget, and all projects must have have a faculty or staff advisor.
All applications must have advisor approval before the form is submitted. Applicants should have their advisor submit a note of approval to This note should indicate the academic and civic benefit of participation in the conference experience.

Travel should be paid for using a University Commercial Card, and travel purchases should be made by the University Staff/Faculty Member who is advising this project. Funds will be transferred as a reimbursement once reconciliation has been made with the Business Office, and the proper documents have been submitted to Hartman staff. 

Once travel is completed all applicants are required to participate in a brief review of their travel and how it enhanced their DePauw experience. It is the responsibility of the student to schedule a 1:1 meeting with a member of the Hartman staff for this conversation.

The fund will cover costs that can be covered through a university commercial card and will prioritize lodging, registration fees, and airline/travel to and from conference. The funds do not cover food and taxi services.
