Accessing Stata
To access Stata (version 14) at DePauw, you log on to a Windows server via VMWare's View client. This method works for any computer (Mac or Win), netbook or tablet (including iPad).
Browse to https://desktops.depauw.edu/ and click the bottom-right link. Click Econ Class to access a desktop that has Stata and log in.
In addition to Stata, the remote server has other applications such as Microsoft Office and this enables easy access to Windows-based Excel (and other Win apps) for Mac users and others who need Win Excel.
