The DePauw Women's Center serves as a resource for students, faculty, staff, and the Greencastle community interested in acting on behalf of women's issues at DePauw. Our space is available for your group, club or class. You may reserve the Women's Center lounge for meetings on a weekly basis or just once in a while. We want our space to be your space, so please make yourself at home!
*SASA (Sexual Assault Survivor Advocate) Support is available 24/7 at 765-658-4650
Conveniently located at 306 Hanna Street—right across from Lucy Hall and Rector Village—the Women’s Center is open during the academic year, Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Housed in a charming historic home, the Center features a full kitchen, two offices, a spacious living room, and the Safe Room—an emergency residential space. Two professional staff members, the Director and the Coordinator, have offices onsite. Additionally, a full-time student serves as the Resident Intern and resides in the Center throughout the academic year.
Whether you're interested in learning more about our programs or would like to use the space, we welcome you to reach out to Sarah Ryan for more information.
Our lounge is available for use by campus groups, clubs, or classes. You’re welcome to reserve it for weekly meetings or occasional gatherings. We want the Women’s Center to feel like home—your space to connect, reflect, and recharge.
The Women’s Center is a vibrant hub for dialogue, connection, and community. We host guest speakers, educational workshops, and weekly events that explore topics related to the lives, health, and well-being of women and gender-expansive individuals.
From student group meetings and free food to one-on-one consultations and print resources, we offer opportunities for engagement that support both personal growth and campus-wide equity efforts. It’s also a quiet, welcoming place to study or unwind.
We’d love to have you join us—stop by, call, or email to learn more or to request a calendar of events.
The Women’s Center works closely with campus partners—including the Wellness Center, Dean of Students Office, Campus Living and Community Development, and DePauw Public Safety—to ensure coordinated support for students.
We also collaborate with student-led organizations advancing gender equity and serve as advocates for individual students when appropriate, helping navigate resources and respond to emerging needs.
