Studying Italian Cultural Studies at DePauw
With a focus on intercultural competence, leadership development and fluency in the Italian language, a major or minor in Italian cultural studies prepares you for life after college as an informed global citizen. This interdisciplinary program can propel you toward a productive career in many different fields, including international business, diplomacy, journalism, the arts, education and more.
In addition to core courses that delve into the Italian language and culture, you’ll also enjoy access to internships in Italy in fields such as economics, pre-law, communications, global health, museum studies, computer science and music. You can also take advantage of study-travel courses, service-learning projects, student-faculty research and an annual summer immersion program in Italy. This is a truly student-centered program that invites you to bring robust cultural awareness into any field in which you are interested.
