DePauw’s Net Price Calculator estimates a new first-year student’s Net Price, which is the total cost of attendance minus any grants and scholarships. Your Net Price estimate will usually be higher than what you’re billed, as it includes both Direct Costs (like tuition, fees, housing, and meals – what you’ll actually see on your bill) and Indirect Costs (like books, supplies and some personal expenses, which can vary by student).
For a better sense of your likely bill, review the Direct Costs in your results and subtract all grants and scholarships.
Eligible students who complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) can use up to $5,500 in student loans to help pay for college, and some may qualify for up to $3,000 in Work Study.
