University Band featured on Wind & Rhythm

The DePauw University Band is featured on the latest episode on Wind & Rhythm, a one-hour weekly program devoted to the music of wind bands, hosted by Doug Brown. The University Band, under the direction of Craig Paré, professor of music, will perform “Tight Squeeze” by Alex Shapiro. Recorded on the band’s 10th compact disc, “Everything Beautiful,” the piece features a pre-recorded tech track that accompanies the live music performed by the ensemble.
This is the fifth time the University Band has been featured on this renowned broadcast. DePauw musicians will be heard alongside other ensembles, including the University of North Texas Wind Symphony, the Michigan State University Symphony Band, Third Coast Percussion and the Sydney Conservatorium Wind Symphony. The broadcast can be accessed at Episode 661 - Techno Touches.
