
Numerous research opportunities exist for Geoscience majors on diverse topics such as acid mine drainage, evolution of fault-related folds, tectonic history of Asia, contaminant history of lake/river sediments, & Precambrian vein development. Students are actively involved in data acquisition, interpretation, and publication. More....


Every semester Geoscience faculty members lead field trips to various locales to study rocks, landforms, and geological processes as part of coursework or Winter Term projects. Recent examples include: New Zealand, Hawaii, Utah, California, & W Virginia.
