State of Indiana Legal Resources

  • Indiana General Assembly - The legislative branch of Indiana’s state government responsible for creating state laws. This resource provides access to bills, statutes, legislative calendars, and session information.
  • Indiana Secretary of State -The state office responsible for overseeing elections, business services, securities regulation, and administrative functions in Indiana.
  • Indiana Attorney General Office- The chief legal office representing the state or federal government in legal matters. It enforces laws, provides legal advice to government agencies, and protects the public through litigation and consumer protection.

Higher Education Resources

  • American Council on Education_ A national nonprofit organization that represents the interests of colleges and universities across the United States. ACE provides research, policy analysis, leadership development, and resources on topics such as accreditation, student success, diversity, and federal legislation impacting higher education.
  • The Chronicle of Higher Education- A leading source of news, analysis, and commentary on issues affecting colleges and universities. It publishes articles on faculty affairs, student life, legal and policy changes, technology, and institutional governance.
  • Higher Education Compliance Alliance (HECA) — A centralized clearinghouse with summarized federal laws/regulations, compliance matrices, and topic-specific resources for colleges and universities.
