State of Indiana Legal Resources
- Indiana General Assembly - The legislative branch of Indiana’s state government responsible for creating state laws. This resource provides access to bills, statutes, legislative calendars, and session information.
- Indiana Secretary of State -The state office responsible for overseeing elections, business services, securities regulation, and administrative functions in Indiana.
- Indiana Attorney General Office- The chief legal office representing the state or federal government in legal matters. It enforces laws, provides legal advice to government agencies, and protects the public through litigation and consumer protection.
Federal Agencies and Legal Resources
- The United States Code- A consolidation and codification of the general and permanent federal laws of the United States.
- Federal Digital System –A comprehensive online resource that includes access to the Code of Federal Regulations, U.S. Code, Federal Register, Congressional Bills, and other official federal publications.
- Electronic code of Federal Regulations -A continuously updated, unofficial version of the Code of Federal Regulations, maintained by the National Archives and Records Administration.
- Presidential Proclamations and Executive Orders -Official statements issued by the President that direct government operations or address significant policy issues.
- National Center for Education Statistics -The primary federal entity for collecting and analyzing data related to education in the U.S.
- National Science Foundation- An independent federal agency supporting scientific research and education across various disciplines.
