Assistant Professor of English and Director of English for Academic Purposes

Lynn Ishikawa received a BA in English from the University of Michigan, an M.Sc. in Enlightenment literature from the University of Edinburgh, and an Ed.M. in language and literacy from Harvard. She teaches academic English and writing to first-year international students and coordinates language support for multilingual students through Academic Life. Her main research interests include the role of identity and motivation in second-language writing. She returned to the States in 2011 after living in Japan for more than ten years.
