Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is a non-profit Greek-lettered sorority of college-educated women who perform public service and place emphasis on the African American community. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority was founded on January 13, 1913 by twenty-two collegiate women at Howard University in Washington, District of Columbia.

The Chi Chapter Currently is a City-wide Chapter that has 5 chartering schools - IUPUI, DePauw University, Butler University, University of Indianapolis, and Marian College - and was chartered Saturday March 14, 1925. Initiatives that the Chi Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. are involved in include: DIVA (Delta's Increasing Voter Awareness), Play Pump fund, Read for Red, March of Dimes, Sexual and Domestic Violence Awareness programming.

The colors of Delta Sigma Theta are Crimson and Cream and the flower is the African Violet.
