Form

Purpose: This fund supplements the Professional Conference Fund by providing support to full-time, part-time and term faculty members to attend regional conferences for one day. The fund also supports those students who wish to accompany a faculty member to such conferences.

Eligibility: All teaching faculty members are eligible. For details see "Faculty Eligibility and Categories for Funding."

Expectations & Rules:

  • The One-Day Conference Fund is based on the principle of cost sharing. All reimbursements will be made to the faculty member who will, in turn, allocate monies to accompanying students for registration fees and meals.
  • This supplementary fund will pay mileage (up to a 300 mile radius from Greencastle), registration fees, parking fees, and one meal for a faculty member, and registration fees and one meal (up to $10) for accompanying students.
  • Reimbursements will be paid directly to the faculty member who, in turn, should reimburse students if appropriate.
  • Applications are to be submitted at least two weeks prior to the conference, and there will be no retroactive funding.

Reporting Process: Receipts for expenses and a completed accounting reimbursement voucher worksheet should be turned in to Becky Wallace in a timely manner, normally during the fiscal year.

Advice: Awards are made on a first-come, first-served basis. Because funds are limited, persons should apply as soon as possible.
