DePauw is a place that welcomes experimentation, failure and innovation.
Julia Sifferlen Student
When I started my freshman year at DePauw, I had no idea what I wanted to pursue. It wasn’t until I met some professors who were willing to take a chance on a freshman and offer me a leadership position at D3TV, our campus television station, that I started to realize my interests.
At DePauw, no matter what year you are, the faculty is so encouraging and welcoming. Now, as a senior, I have incredible mentors and professors who are still pushing me to grow just as much as they did on my first day on campus. Every time I have reached out to a member of the DePauw community, whether they’re a professor, alum or staff member, I have always been met with genuine enthusiasm and support.
DePauw is a place that welcomes experimentation, failure and innovation. I have never been afraid to try something new here, and that is what has helped me to discover my passions. I am so fortunate to have the faculty and friends who have become family who serve as my support system.
