More than 250 students are mentored each year, conducting faculty-guided research for academic credit and invaluable hands-on experience.
Outcomes
Where will DePauw take you?
A DePauw education keeps paying off long after your first job title. Graduates rank in the top 7 percent of their peers for lifetime earnings, and employers like Eli Lilly, JPMorgan Chase, and Microsoft recruit them because they arrive ready to lead and to keep learning. It's part of why author Jeff Selingo named DePauw one of 75 schools in the country that pair strong outcomes with rigorous academics in his 2025 book, Dream School. But earnings and job titles are only part of the return. The same rigor that prepares you for a demanding career prepares you for a fuller life beyond it: as a mentor, a volunteer, a public servant, a positive force in your community. What you build here becomes the platform for wherever you're headed.
Who will you be?
Storyteller. Builder. Bestseller. Founder. Board Chair. DePauw graduates go by many titles and follow many paths, but all are connected by a common thread - excellence in their chosen field.

How does DePauw help you get there?
How do you thrive at DePauw and create the future you desire? Much of our success in preparing leaders is in the design of our programs. The opportunities for research, professional development, internships, study abroad, alumni networking and enhanced programs like our Honor Scholar and Fellows programs give you access to expertise and mentorship, and enables you to explore, develop and pursue the career you were meant for. Recent graduates have gone on to graduate and professional schools such as Brown University, Cornell University, Emory University, Indiana University, Purdue University, and Wake Forest University.
Honors and Fellows Programs
Honor Scholar, Management, Media, Science Research, Global Studies and Environmental Fellows, each guarantees a placement tied to the student's focus. Focused, graduate-style study builds students ready to place their education in the world's broader context.
Internships
Students get out of their seats and into the real world to experience more fully what they learn in the classroom. Most DePauw students complete at least two internships by the end of their senior year.
