I give the DePauw community a lot of credit for building up my confidence enough to chase these dreams.

These last few months at DePauw have served as an important time for me, as a senior, to explore the opportunities that await in post-grad life. I’ve been using this time to connect with and learn from some wonderful DePauw alumni, and these interactions led to two internships this past winter term.
I worked with Challenge Aspen (shoutout to DePauw alum Jenni Sandels Peterson ’92!), a nonprofit that provides adaptive opportunities to those with physical and/or cognitive disabilities and with ESPN at the 2021 X Games in Aspen, Colorado.
Through these opportunities, I learned that the DePauw network is very real and that alumni want to help – so long as you activate the “work” part of the word “networking!” I give the DePauw community a lot of credit for building up my confidence enough to chase these dreams.
