Learning on and off the field

Coming to DePauw as a first-generation college student and to a school smaller than my high school, I was petrified upon my arrival to campus. But I would not change a single thing about my DePauw experience. I am forever in debt for what DePauw has provided me from a personal and professional standpoint. From making lifelong friends to acquiring a fantastic education, you won’t grasp the magnitude of the DePauw experience until you’re fully engaged in its presence.

My academic experience has been unparallelled. It is the beauty of only one of the things DePauw has to offer – the ability to provide students with the platform and resources to be the best versions of themselves on a daily basis. Whether in a classroom or a dorm room, working out at Lilly or competing on the athletic field, DePauw offers countless avenues for ensuring each student’s success.

Being a former student-athlete and now assistant coach on the baseball team has been one of the most satisfying experiences. I attribute most of my growth as an individual to what I have learned from being a student-athlete and coach at DePauw.

After graduation, I will work for Impact Networking, a marketing and technology consulting firm in Chicago, as a business process optimization consultant. From the DePauw-Kelley School of Business course I took during winter term to professor Susan Biehle’s consumer psychology class, DePauw offers a personalized curriculum. These experiences led me to an internship with Impact Networking that resulted in the opportunity to work for the firm full-time.

What makes you Gold Within?
A degree from DePauw provides you with the necessary skills and characteristics to launch one’s professional career in unimaginable ways. This will lead to a purposeful and prosperous life. DePauw’s commitment to your success is made possible by industry experts, its  family-oriented environment and a sense of hope in each student to make the most of each situation.
