Visionary Entrepreneur
“Early in my career, I worked for DePauw’s Annual Fund. My job was to travel the country to meet with alumni and ask for money. It was during that time I met Angie Hicks ’95, founder of Angie’s List, now Angi. I was fascinated how one person was able to start something from nothing and grow it into a million dollar-plus enterprise. Her work inspired me to join Angie’s List and had the opportunity to work in various functions of the business from marketing to sales to operations. I loved being a part of early stage growth and decided to focus my career on early-growth stage companies.”
“For me personally, a liberal arts education was foundational and fundamental to the success that I've had in business. I think that's probably true for most leaders. Awareness to multiple areas so that you have that well-rounded human being, makes people more successful.”
