- International Student Ambassador Program
Building community and supporting first-year international students.
A team of International Student Ambassadors provides guidance, support, and friendship to first-year international students as they adjust to academic and social life at DePauw. Ambassadors communicate with students during the summer before their arrival, guide students through International Student Affairs Welcome Week, and support students in their first months on campus.
Ambassadors go through a rigorous selection and training process and meet regularly with ISA staff throughout the year. ISA opens applications for the next academic year during the Spring Semester.

Hello Tigers!!🐯
I’m Saki Fukuda from Tokyo, Japan🇯🇵!! I’m a rising senior majoring in Economics with minors in Psychology and Business Analytics. I love dancing and horses 💃🐎! I’m involved in B4U Kpop Club, DeBadminton Club, and the DePauw Japanese Club. I did the IB program and studied abroad in Canada for 5 months in high school.
Coming to Greencastle from Tokyo was a big adjustment. But during International Student Orientation (ISO), I met my best friends for life. They made me feel like I truly belonged, inspired me to grow, and stuck with me through the best (and worst 😅) moments. Now, I hope to help you find your people—the ones who’ll laugh, cry, and grow with you.

I hope you’re excited to experience that too! As an International Student Ambassador, I hope to be someone you can talk to to help you with settling in, get school advice, or even just share fun moments!
Can’t wait to meet you!

Hi guysss! I’m Dan Nguyen, an international student from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and a rising sophomore majoring in Communication and Business Analytics.
My freshman year was wild—in the best way! I got involved in B4U K-pop Dance Club, DePauw Film Club, and the Vietnamese Student Association. One of my biggest highlights was being a production stage manager for a theater show. I absolutely fell in love with it and will be stage managing the first show next year—come watch it!!
I’m a huge sports fan (especially basketball), love exploring new spots, and yes… I’m a bit of a gym rat 😄. In my free time, I’m usually watching detective K-dramas.
Feel free to reach out if you have questions about DePauw or want tips on making the most of freshman year. See you soon!!
